The Day Between

Christ died yesterday.

He defeats death tomorrow.

We know that. But they did not.

What were Mary and the disciples thinking/feeling today?

The day between.

- "Los"

if you're in the "day between" where you feel hopeless and you really don't see results of the thing you were hoping for, please remember always that Sunday is coming.
specifically, if you feel that you are called to the ministry, but you haven't been "doing your best" lately, i want to encourage you not to forget that Sunday is a coming and God hasn't changed His mind about you and the way He wants to use you. i know Peter felt like he had to make a career change when he denied Jesus, but Jesus came back and realigned him with his call. so i pray he does that with you / us.

i also want to open up the "comment" section for any thing that you have on your heart , whether it be an anonymous confession or something that will edify the rest of us feeling like were in the day between, go ahead.

The “between” when Noah sat inside a creaking and bobbing Ark.

The “between” while Isaac lay upon the wood altar waiting to be sacrificed.

The “between” as Joseph sat in an Egyptian prison.

The “between” as Rahab looked out of her window as the Israelites marched around Jericho.

The “between” as Ruth lay softly at Boaz’ feet without waking anyone.

The “between” as David crawled stealthily near to Saul as he relieved himself.

The “between” as Esther came unto the King’s inner court uncalled.

The “between” while Jonah wailed out of the whale’s belly. (I couldn’t resist the homophone!)

The long “between” Adam’s original sin and the coming of the Messiah.

All these “betweens” have a happy ending, because all of them began with obedience to God. And no matter how long or how difficult the “between” is,Psalm 30:5b reads: “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Yes, when Jesus died darkness fell upon the land, but when He rose on Sunday morning, joy unspeakable came to earth!

Probably the greatest “between” in history was the prayer at Gethsemane. As Jesus prayed and sweated drops of blood He received the revelation that all the “betweens” we face today can rely on. Hebrews 12:2 reads: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” It was the joy set before Him, the promise of God that helped Jesus endure the cross. It is this same joy of the Lord that Jesus speaks to us about in John 15:11; “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” It is His Word that produces joy, and it is His Word that gets us through the “betweens.”

Well many times i mean you pray and pray but dont see a result.. Sometimes when you ask God to give a revalation of soething it takes time. For example for you to know the gender of a baby in a mothers womb it takes time and you get eager/fustrated. But as you have patience and time passes out you get to see the result. At times its frustrating but soon God will always come through.
