enlarged

All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it's not only around us; it's within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We're also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.
Waiting is hard. It really is... and its one of the things God makes us do the most.
What is it that is birthing inside of you? What spoken word from God has been growing and growing inside your spirit yet it seems like it's never going to come out... like its never going to happen. We feel the pain, we feel the birth pangs...we feel the weight of having to carry this around, we have people wanting to "touch our stomachs" in excitment yet they don't know what its like to hold it within us. They don't know the pain. They don't feel it kicking, they don't feel the pressure. And us... all we can do is wait.
What dream inside of you is patiently waiting to be fully developed so that it can be birthed out? What promise are you waiting for? What dream are you carrying inside?
There is a pregnant generation. Pregnant with spoken promises from the heart of God. Some have aborted them, not being ready to carry on such a call. Some have had them prematurely... risking to lose it all... and some of us are still waiting. Knowing that we are ENLARGED in the waiting.
The Kingdom is within you. When it starts expanding... it will either expand you.... or break you. - Jason Upton.
Just hold on....

This past Wednesday March 5 I was given the most wonderful gift from God. My wife gave birth to a beautiful, blessed and highly favored daughter which we named Victoria. (Victoria because she represents the victory that we have in Christ.) I was blessed to witness the actual birth and I noticed a Biblical truth that you touched on in your post.

Newborn babies, as well as the mother, are completely helpless upon birth. The mother is unable to give birth to the child and help herself during the birth process. She is too overwhelmed with contractions and pushing to be able to give proper care to the birthing baby coming through the birth canal. She needs a doctor, a nurse or a midwife to help her.

Genesis 35:17 reads; “And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour that the midwife said unto her Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.” These words were spoken to Rachel as she travailed in hard labor.
In 1 Samuel 4:20 the women who stood by Phinehas wife echoed the same words; “Fear not, for thou hast born a son.”

Yes, the midwife was necessary to bring forth the promise of a son. Did you know that the word midwife in Hebrew literally means “one who causes to give birth?”

By the same token we also are unable to birth the promises of God without a midwife who says to us; Fear not, for a promise SHALL come forth from your womb!

And who is that midwife that reminds us to FEAR NOT?

You got it, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that will not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak. (John 16:13) He is the Comforter that stands by us while we give birth to the promises of God. (John 14:16) That word Comforter in Greek is Paraclete and it means a comforter, a helper, a counselor, an advocate, an intercessor, a standby, a strengthener and one called alongside to help.

My beloved let us continue in prayer and listen to the voice of our “midwife.” Let him who has an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

After all it is God who has made the hearing ear (Proverbs 20:12) and Jesus Christ Himself said in Matthew 13:16; “Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.”

Let’s not give an ear to the world, because it will pass away and we cannot give birth to the promises of God.

Listen to the voice of our midwife, the precious Holy Ghost and FEAR NOT! Then you can rejoice even as I am rejoicing with my blessed baby girl Victoria in my arms!
